Essentially the ‘Ascentric Wrap Account’ allows the client and adviser to view all of a specific client’s investment and their up-to-date values at any time via the Internet. It is called a ‘Wrap Account’ because all the products (e.g. Pensions and ISAs) and other investments that a client may have are 'wrapped' up in one account. This enables clients and advisers to gain a holistic view of all an individual's investment(s) at any one time and thus allows more effective management of clients’ assets – a genuine wealth management facility.

The aim of the ‘Wrap Account’

The aim of the ‘Wrap Account’ is to allow the client, with the assistance of a Financial Adviser, to select and purchase investments from a wide range of Equities, Bonds, Unit Trusts, Open Ended Investment Companies (OEICs), ETFs and other investment schemes including cash holdings.

With the help of an adviser the client can also analyse and select the most appropriate product within which to hold these investments to optimise tax advantages and best reflect the client's financial objectives. The client and the adviser can value and trade these investments (including fund switching) at any time via the Internet. With a click of your mouse, you are able to deal online, consolidate all your investments and check your portfolio 24 hours a day from one central source.

Everything is held with one provider with one central point of contact so the account is easier and more cost-efficient to administer. Paperwork is, therefore, kept to a minimum and this enables the adviser to keep administration costs down, enabling a focus on the investment(s) themselves.
